Circle Restaurant II in Elizabetd City

Really nice waitress but the buffet was not good and i didn't like anything on the menu.

I've got to say that I've had way better food elsewhere! The chicken was super dry, the ham slices and the Turkey slices were in plain water. The cabbage was good...

We usually only go for breakfast and it's always great but we had the lunch bar the other day and it was awesome.

We both got the buffet for lunch so I am basing my review off that. The food was true Southern food at its best! Cooked perfectly, wonderful selection, friendly waitstaff and if you don't eat enough its your own fault! if you need more seasonings, salt and pepper, it's on the table. We came from VA to look at a house in E-City and we can't wait to come back to the Circle to eat - that's how much we enjoyed it!

Hamburger steak, fried chicken, country fried steak, salad , mashed potatoes, French beans, Lima, and more. Lack seasoning but was good

I enjoy breakfast; it's probably my favorite meal of the day. I had breakfast there with my mother this past mothers day. The pancakes are good, tough but pretty soft once you cut into them. The sausage is processed and round; wish it was handmade patties. It's sausage though, so I still loves it.I will return.

Nice and friendly, food is average at best. Staff are attentive and nice. Smiles abound. Decor is homely but not uncomfortable

My husband warned me they had bad food. But we like the Mom n Pop places and prefer to patranize such establisments. I hate it when he is right. It Absolute worst breakfast. Overcooked, cold bacon not once, but twice. Weak coffee. Poor, slow, unwelcoming service. Best part was the most pleasant cashier.

Fantastic lunch buffet - some of the best fried chicken I have ever had!

My husband and I had the fried chicken tonight. He called it in and went and picked it up. It was packed nicely when he arrived. Nice and hot, very fresh tasting . We both could not talk enough about how it was the best fried chicken we have ever had. Cooked perfectly juicy not at all greasy and seasoned perfectly. We would recommend them to everyone. Will be our go to for fried chicken from now on. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu.

I tried some of the Fried Chicken during the all you can eat buffet and it was delicious. Some of the best fried chicken ever had. It definitely has a fresh and homemade taste! The waitress we had was also really nice.

Delicious Home Cookin'! Come for good price and good food; stay for the friendly sevice and conversations. You will feel like family before you leave. Buffet is kept hot and fresh. The Philly cheese steak platter was also huge and yummy!

Very good food! I've eaten here breakfast and dinner and the food was great every time! They have daily specials with homemade food! Try the watermelon pickles on their Sunday Buffet! Good prices. I can't say enough about the food! If you are a fan of homemade downhome cooking, you'll find this diner a true gem!

Everything on buffet was fresh and hot. Waitress Nikki never let our tea run out.

Our server was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure my food was what I ordered. Customers seemed to be regulars and were equally friendly. A great early dinner at a hometown restaurant. The menu could use help as in descriptions and sides, but staff had the answers.

I enjoyed the Belgian waffle with whip cream and blueberries.

I went in for lunch and I was very happy. I got the buffet and the fried chicken is awesome. Don't miss out on that. The staff is very friendly as well. I haven't been for dinner, but if it's like lunch, I'm sure it's great. Don't forget to try the fried chicken. Thanks.

I absolutely adore their food. The owner is very polite and makes sure everyone leaves satisfied. The restaurant has a small buffet on the normal occasion of course due to COVID 19 it is not set up right now. Their menu is still just as good . Down home southern feel . <3

Quiet Sunday morning for a breakfast out. Nothing was from scratch as owner states but it was good/passable. Hash from can, pancakes from box, grits not homemade.... but served hot.

We stopped in here last year. The biscuit, chicken, green beans, hot dog, fries, and desserts were good. We would go back again. Service was friendly. The buffet was always stocked with fresh/hot food. Parking is plenty. Prices are great.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. I called to a place a order at 9:00 am and told her I needed the food done by 12 if possible she told me that was fine. I got there at 12:30 to give them time. When I got there she said it wasn’t ready I said ok that’s fine but I did call at 9 and LINDA is going to say did I tell you it was going to be ready at 12 and then she said I didn’t think so. I said wow you don’t have to be rude I was just asking. That will be my last time going there and even one of the co workers agreed with me that you shouldn’t talk to a customer like that. THANKS LINDA I WILL NEVER COME BACK

Had breakfast twice at Circle II. Really good old fashioned breakfast well prepared and served hot by waitresses with good skills and personality. Bacon and eggs done right and some really good pancakes. Can't wait to go back!

Fried chicken was great! Service was outstanding. Kids really enjoyed the desert. Only negative was the atmosphere was extremely quiet so we felt as if we needed to be really quiet as well. This was not an easy task with a family of three teen boys who had been stuck in a vehicle for over ten hours.

Good selection on salad bar and buffet. Best fried chicken in town and collards are exceptionally tasty (when available). By far the best homemade banana pudding (on Sundays) I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Good food at good prices.

Arrived at 11:30, well before any crowds, another couple in front of us. We were seated promptly by a friendly waitress, gave our drink requests and placed our order. Ditto for the couple, who sat nearby. An hour later, we still had not been served, the other couple had already given up and left at 45 minutes in. Its not like we had any special requests, we ordered straight off the menu. We watched a few others be served, finish their meal and depart. The other couple had never been, but had read the reviews and decided to give it a try. This is not the first time this has happened to us, but will be the last. For average food, it isn't worth over an hour wait. SORRY, cannot recommend this restaurant.

I was really dissatisfied with this restaurant considering the fact that we waited for a really long time to get our food, when it finally arrived it was cold, steak wasn’t so bad but smashed potatoes were really cold and not very tasty, and they brought just one appetiser instead of 2, the second one was brought with the rest of the food. The waitress was nice but overall experience wasn’t really pleasant one.

This is a small “Mom & Pop” spot that serves southern cooking. The fried chicken is the best in town. Veggies could use a little touch of “something” other than salt & pepper. Staff is very nice and attentive. Buffet is the best deal. I’d recommend you give it a try.

Had breakfast there twice while in Elizabeth City. Breakfast was delicious. Their fried potatoes were some of the best I've had. Great place!
